Ralph Edward Dailey, Jr., 43 of Murphy passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021. He was the son of Juanita Morgan Holden and the late Ralph Edward Dailey. Ralph had been born in Swain County, but had been a longtime resident of Cherokee County. He had worked as an equipment operator, and had enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and hunting.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, "Freddie" Alfred Holden.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Bristol Dailey; three brothers, Jeff Holden (Lisa) of Tocca, GA, Darren Holden (Lisa) of the Peachtree community and Shannon Holden of the Nantahala community; two sisters, Angela Mealer (Danny) and and Julie Roper of Marble, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Sunday, October 03, 2021 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews with Pastor Wayne McGuire and Pastor Bo Phillips officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff, Darren, and Wesley Holden, Danny Mealer, and Jake and Jason Rowland. Bristol Dailey will serve as honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm, Sunday, October 3, 2021 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.
