David Keith Thompson, age 83, of Hayesville, NC passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015 at his residence.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County, NC and the son of the late John Robert and Benita Beck Thompson. David was a retired US Navy veteran. He enjoyed golfing and fly fishing.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Cleo Thompson who passed away in 2014; brother, Jack Thompson; and sister, Sally Scroggs.
He is survived by his son, Keith Thompson and wife Melanie of Hayesville, NC; grandchildren, Brian Thompson, Alice Thompson Tallman and her husband, Caleb and Amanda Thompson; and one sister, Susie Moore.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12 PM, Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. Rev. Darryl Rose will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 11-12 PM, Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.
