Roy Thomas Free, age 58 of Hayesville, NC passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023.
He was the son of Emma-Dean Free of Hayesville, NC and the late Roy Henry Free. Roy was a fiber optic driller. He enjoyed watching NASCAR Racing and the Atlanta Braves.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Kay Patterson Free;three sons, Brandon Free, Brandon and Derek Anderson; two daughters, Ashley Smith and Alicia Shook; two sisters, Frances "Cricket" Horton and Dana "Cissy" Free; and grandchildren, Conner, Lily, Carson, Grayson, Braxton, Emorie, Chase, and Ally.
Funeral Services will be held at 4 pm, Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. Rev. Richard Roberson and Rev. Curtis Ledford will officiate. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Free, Tim Chastain, Robbie Greene, Leon Chastain, Chris Furby and Larry Shepherd. Honorary pallbearers will be Clifford Chastain and Walllace Chastain.
The family will receive friends from 3 pm to 4 pm, Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.
