Ona Lee Ledford, 79, of Hayesville passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025.
She was born in Congquit, GA to the late Robert and Leona Helms Goodwin. Ona had worked with the UPS. She loved flowers, gardening, cooking and sewing. She was very passionate about her family, especially taking care of her grandchildren. Ona loved her dogs, Sophie and Lady. She was of the Baptist faith. Ona was very family oriented.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles "LC" Ledford; one grandchild, Nicole; brothers, Robert, Johnny, and Billy; sisters, Lois, Nell, Dorothy, and Callie Mae.
She is survived by her sons, Donald Keith Smith of Cartersville, Georgia, and Stewart Allen Smith of Texas; daughters, Glenda Eaves of Hayesville, Jamie Ledford of Pensacola, Florida and Tami Moon of Stockbridge, Georgia; sister; Bobbie Jo; grandchildren, Loren, Brittany, Savannah, Kellie, Joshua, Jacob, Gavin, Megan, and Jonathan; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm, Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Hayesville with Rev. Wayne Matheson officiating.
