Marcye Beaston Scott, 85, of Murphy passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025. She was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy Worth Beaston. Marcye had worked as a hairdresser. She was President of the Cherokee County Sharing Center. Marcye had lived in Vineland, NJ before moving to Fort Pierce FL, and then in 1976 permanently moving to Murphy. She enjoyed reading, traveling, hosting parties for her family and friends, and going camping. Marcye was a member of the Ranger United Methodist Church.
In addition to the parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Scott; and her brother, George Beaston.
Surviving is a son, George Peterman; daughters, Denise Peterman (Eddie Everhart) and Sandra P. Anderson (Brian); grandchildren, Taylor Begley (Ryan), Alexis Peterman, and Hope Rinaldi (Tommy); and great grandchildren, Veda Begley, Amalia Rinaldi, and Luca Rinaldi.
