Margaret Gaye Shields West, age 89 of Andrews, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
Margaret was born in Macon County to the late Emmett and Myrtle Grant Shields. She worked as a CNA. Margaret loved gardening, canning and making cobblers. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Charles Clark; her brothers, Willard Shields and Steve Shields; her sisters, Reba Grant, Norma Pierson and Clohe Latta; and a great grandchild, Mason Jones.
She is survived by her husband, Fred West; her daughter, Donna Rayborn; a brother, Cecil Shields; a sister, AnnaLaura Shields; her grandchildren, Matthew Rayborn, Airiel Rayborn, Bradley Rayborn, Jessica Clark and Travis Clark; and her great grandchildren, Brayden Bryson, Keira Rayborn, Lily Rayborn, Raelyn Jones and Atlas Rayborn.
A funeral service will be held at 12pm on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Townson-Rose Chapel of Andrews. Rev. Calvin Bobo will officiate. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Airiel Rayborn, Jim Fetrow, Matthew Rayborn, Randy Rayborn, Anthony Jones and Bradley Rayborn.
The family will receive friends from 11am to 12pm on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Townson-Rose Chapel of Andrews prior to the service.
