Forrest Bernard Johnson, II, 82, of Murphy passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024. He was the son of the late Forrest Bernard Johnson, Sr. and Alice Shields Johnson. Forrest was a mechanic and welder with M&M Milling. He loved to hunt, fish, travel with the Masons and Easter Star and woodcrafts. Forrest was a member of Ranger Baptist Church.
In addition to the parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alan Johnson; and sisters, Phyllis Bradford, and Mary Ashley.
Surviving Forrest is his wife, Elizabeth; son, Forrest Bernard Johnson, III and wife, Shirley of Hayesville; daughters, Suzanne Johnson and friend, Terry Jones of Mineral Bluff, GA and Elizabeth Jacobson of West Palm Beach, FL; sister, Pam DeDea and husband, Steve; seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, August 16, 2024 in the Townson-Rose Murphy Chapel with Rev. Gerald Derreberry officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Members of the Masonic Lodge will be pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Thursday, August 15, 2024 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home, Murphy.
