Ruth Margaret Clark Leatherwood, age 96 of Murphy, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
Ruth was born in Cherokee County to the late Lawson W. and Mary Lou Harper Clark. She loved to garden and work in her flowers. Ruth was a member of Tomotla Baptist Church in Murphy.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edgar Leatherwood; and her sister, Pearl Reece.
She is survived by her son, Timothy K. Leatherwood (Clarise); her daughter, Stephanie Tabor; a brother, Lloyd Clark; and a sister, Isa Mae Hodge.
A funeral service will be held at 4pm on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Pastor Harold Stiles and Archie Tabor will officiate. Burial will be at Tomotla Community Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3pm to 4pm on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy prior to the funeral service.
