Madeline Miles Boorman, age 82, of Murphy, NC passed away Tuesday May 26, 2015 at her residence.
She was a native of Bonavista, Canada and a daughter of the late Syril and Alice Elizabeth Morgan Miles. Madeline had worked as a bookkeeper for a mobile home manufacturer and operated a ceramics shop for several years with her husband. She moved to Murphy in 2003 from New Port Richey, Florida. Madeline was a former member of the Red Hat Society and very active member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church of Copperhill, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Allen Miles, Donald Miles and John Miles and two sisters, Joyce Espivito and Betty Miles.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Harry William "Bill" Boorman; four daughters, Bonnie Martin of Port Richey, Florida, Barbara Thrun of St. Petersburg, Florida, Beverly Fuller of Murphy, NC and Brenda Stansfield of Dayton, Ohio; nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one sister, Marie DeSalvo.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4 PM, Friday, May 29, 2015 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church of Copperhill, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 124 Hill Street, Copperhill, Tennessee 37317.
