Samuel William "Bill" O'Neil, age 75 of Hayesville, NC passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County, NC and the son of the late Samuel Landis O'Neil and Jennie Lee O'Neil. Bill enjoyed cutting and gathering firewood, gardening, and most of all, tractors. He was a member of Oak Forest United Methodist Church in Hayesville. Bill was a faithful man who was loyal to God and man.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Hoffman O'Neil.
He is survived by his son, Roy Lee O'Neil; dear friend, Rhonda Odom and husband Juan Lopez and two daughters, Tabitha and Gracie Perry.
Funeral Service will be held at 3 pm, Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the Oak Forest United Methodist Church in Hayesville. Pastor Tim Lee will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Crawford, Mike McClure, Juan Lopez, Wayne Odom, Jason Belcher and Glen Cheeks. Honorary pallbearers will be Carroll McKinney, Ivane Elliott and Jimmy Anderson.
