Obituary for Patsy Ruth Deaver

Patsy Ruth Holbrooks Deaver, age 72 of Murphy, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.

Patsy was born in Cherokee County to the late Charles Holbrooks and Thelma Forrester. She worked as a CNA in the healthcare field. Patsy enjoyed sitting on the porch, drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes, laughing, cutting up with anyone and loved taking care of her flowers. She also loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and nieces.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her first husband, William "Bill" Verner; her granddaughter, Layla Verner; her sister, Marilyn "Mickey" LeFevers; her brother, David Holbrooks; and a niece, Shania.

She is survived by her mother, Themla Hazel Forrester; her daughters, Vera Verner and Cindy Gaddis; her sister, Janet Taylor (Rex); her grandsons, Joshua, Dustin and Cole Gaddis; her great grandchildren, Nala Miracle Anderson, Jaxton Gaddis and Noah Sneed; and her special nieces, Lynn Welch, Jenn Taylor, Caroline Hickey and Carol Baker.
