On December 17, 2023 at 2:32pm, Alfred Donald Touchton’s spirit left him and he’s now present with the Lord. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, worked for the space program with NASA and then after, he turned his life over to the Lord. Alfred also went to Luther Rice Seminary and earned his PhD in Theology. He preached the gospel all over the world and currently has a mission in India that will continue.
Alfred is preceded in death by his first wife Valerie Eileen Touchton; his brothers, Bob, Terry and Butch; and a sister, Judy Duffy.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Ellen Touchton of 40 years; a brother, Pat Touchton; his children Jesse, Jeff, Austin, Stephanie Phillips and Marsha Stiles; multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at New Life Church, 34 Sunrise Place, Hayesville, NC 28904, on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 1pm. Pastor Fred Wright, Pastor Manuel Diaz and Pastor Greg Carroll will officiate. Burial will be at Fort Hill Cemetery in Cleveland, TN with no graveside service.
The family will receive friends from 12pm to 1pm at New Life Church prior to the funeral service.
