Ronald "Ronnie" Edward Waldroup, age 51, of Andrews, NC passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024.
Ronnie was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the son of Ronald and Jane Cross Waldroup of Andrews, NC. He worked as a Mental Health Professional for many years as well as other trade and field technician. Ronnie loved baseball and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox. He took that love for "the game" and invested it in his children and the kids of the community by coaching the local recreation leagues with travel ball teams and assisting with Middle school baseball. He enjoyed working with all the kids. Ronnie was also passionate about Tennessee sports. He was an accomplished musician and enjoyed many different genres. He attended Red Oak Church in Andrews, NC.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Aubrie Michaels Waldroup; three sons, Conner, Kelby and Isaac Waldroup of the home; two daughters, Cadence and KaeLiana Savugot of the home; and one sister, Crystal Huls (Jeff) of Murphy.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 pm, Monday, June 10, 2024 at the Red Oak Church in Andrews. Brody Holloway will officiate. Music will be provided by Adam Garner. Burial will be in the Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shane, Jason, Adam and Barry Cross, Ted Adams, and Josh Michaels.
The family will receive friends from 10 am to 12 pm, Monday, June 10, 2024 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.
