Charles Leslie Parks, age 87 of Andrews, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024.
He served in the United States Air Force for 21 years. Chuck was a man who loved his country and was a life member and Post Commander #7620 VFW in Andrews, NC. He was also a life member of VFW Post #3663 in Buckhannon, West Virginia and a life member of the American Legion Post #7 in Buckhannon, West Virginia. The last week before his accident was spent camping alongside of the river which he loved.
He is survived by his wife, Joan "Jodi" Waller Parks; his son, Charles L. Parks, Jr. of Decatur, Illinois; his daughter, Sherri Gilmore of Decatur, Illinois; his brothers, Paul Parks and Pete Parks of Buckhannon, West Virginia; his sister, Sharon Walton of Parkersburg, West Virginia; and his stepdaughters, Jymme Gann and Jill Lott.
Many thanks to the staff at Murphy Rehab and Nursing for their excellent loving care.
Military services will be held at a later date in Buckhannon, West Virginia.
