Obituary for Reatha Mae Stiles

Reatha Mae Roberts Stiles, age 85 of Marble, passed away at her home after a long battle with cancer on Monday, May 20, 2024.

Reatha was born in Cherokee County to the late Lewis Albert and Edna Madelyn Harris Roberts. She enjoyed football, gardening, cooking, sewing and making clothes for her entire family. Reatha was a woman of many talents. She loved the Lord. Reatha was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Stiles; her brothers, Clinton Roberts and Harlan Roberts; and her sisters, Mary Jane Curtis and Elaine Passmore.

She is survived by her daughters, Janice (Terry) Self; Shirley Stiles and daughter, Haley and son, Haven (Rachel); Rita Stiles and daughter, Skylan; Christy (Jeff) Ledford and daughter, Amity; her brother, Boone (Teresa) Roberts; her sisters, Carolyn (Paul) Moss and Linda Kilpatrick; and two great grandchildren, Lainey Stiles and Shaun Stiles.

A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Murphy with Pastor Jimmy Tanner and Travis Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Haven Stiles, Jeff Ledford, Dustin Kephart, Joe Roberts, Jason Roberts and Jess Roberts.

The family will receive friends from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday, May 25, 2024 prior to the funeral service.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Four Seasons Hospice for their compassion and care that they have shown with Reatha.
