Dorothy Nell Rogers, age 73 of Hayesville, NC passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
Dorothy was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County, NC and the daughter of the late Ralph and Ruby Bell Anderson Rowland. She enjoyed flowers, loved the mountains and socializing with other people. Dorothy never met a stranger. She loved going to places and seeing new places with her friend, Kay. Above all that she enjoyed doing in life, Dorothy loved the Lord! She was a member of the Hayesville Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Earl Rowland; and two sisters, Jane Beasley and Shirley Thomas.
She is survived by one special aunt, Ida Jane Rowland; one nephew, Joseph Rowland; and special friend, Kay Tanner.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 pm, Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. Rev. Mitchell Totherow will officiate. Music will be provided by Kathy Worley, Michael and Mary Ann Hooper. Burial will be in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Rowland, Stan Martin, Glenn Matheson, Rick Carter, JR Powers and Tyler Simmonds.
The family will receive friends from 10 am to 12 pm, Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.
